YoYoFactory's undersized POPStar yo-yo, first released in 2010, was re-designed and re-released in 2017 to make this mighty undersized yo-yo an even better player. The 2017 version is thinner and each half now has a dimple in the center of the cup to facilitate finger spins. The 2017 POPStar also features a size C Center-Trac bearing and 19mm slim pads for response.
The 2017 version of the POPStar was maligned with quality issues and was discontinued and pulled from sale after only six months. Most of the run ended up being marked as B-Grades to sell in the legendary YoYoFactory A-May-zing May sale. Only a percentage of the entire run was deemed good enough to avoid the B-Grade designation.
This POPStar Yo-Yo is a rare A-Grade version of the Yo-Yo. The purple splash anodizing looks great on top of the silver undercoat. The laser artwork is sharp and crisp and there’s no precision issues with the Yo-Yo. If you are looking for a fun yo-yo that you can put in the smallest of pockets, the POPStar is a great option.
